The Galvalume Plus coating protects against non-uniform weathering and reduces energy loads on buildings due to its bright surface that aids in heat reflectivity. Pioneer Steel’s Galvalume Plus coating maintains the EPA solar reflectance requirement of 0.65 on newly manufactured buildings and the minimum of 0.50 on roofs over three years for age. Galvalume Plus coated steel has been approved by the Energy Star program, both for low-slope and high-slope applications.

The Galvalume Plus coating also acts as a thermal barrier to keep the insides of steel buildings cool in summer. This means that Pioneer Steel buildings use less energy, hence saving you money and the environment through reduced energy costs over the life of the building.
