As per the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) Section 4.3.4.3 - It is now MANDATORY that all Steel Building System manufacturers supplying buildings into Canada must be certified to the requirements of CSA-A660.

When applying for a Building Permit in Canada you must supply Blueprint Engineered drawings along with a "Certificate of Design and Manufacturing Conformance" provided to you by the manufacturer, signed and sealed by a licensed Professional Engineer registered within the Province where the building is to be erected.
